Event Manager

Description

We are looking for a highly organised events professional who will assist in the delivery of our offline events, under the supervision of the Head of Community. In this role, you will be able to take ownership of and manage the delivery of events delegated to you.

The role will work closely with Marketing, Back Office and Sponsorships, as well as with our Chapter Directors based globally, to manage the production of events, whether initiated by headquarters or by the Chapter Directors. This includes coordinating stakeholders throughout the logistical planning of each event, while maintaining a high level of organisation and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the organisation of event concepts, timelines, and schedules
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors, chapter directors, and venues to ensure all operations and logistics are managed
  • Oversee and support the execution of remote events, ensuring smooth operation
  • Manage budgets, negotiate partnerships, and oversee logistics to ensure seamless delivery of each event
  • Speaker search and management
Qualifications
  • Highly organised and keen eye to detail
  • Three years minimum previous experience in events industry is mandatory
  • Excellent communicator in English
  • Strong time management skills
  • Process driven and out of the box thinker
  • A proactive team player, able to prioritise and manage several projects concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive under pressure - this role involves high expectations and tight deadlines. If you're not comfortable handling stress and working in a fast-paced environment, this position may not be the right fit for you.
  • This role requires a results-driven approach, with the expectation that tasks are completed to the highest standard. We operate on a "sleep when the job is done" mindset rather than a traditional 9-to-5 schedule. Flexibility and dedication to meeting deadlines are essential.
  • This role may require occasional work on weekends and public holidays to support business needs.
